The Empire State

When I arrived to the airport I went to the rent car and  Itook a car, and turn the GPS to go to my hotel
It was a luxury hotel,  which had a  decorated entrance with old  decorations that made it elegant. The hotel was comfortable, had everything you need and the service was very attentive and sympathetic

In my first day in New York I Took the car and drive around to know how is the city and then I Had a breakfast at star bucks and after that I went to visit a building that I wanted to go since my childhood who was the Empire State.

Arriving there I talked with a touristic guide who went with me and we take the elevator.
In a few minutes we arrived to the top of the skyscraper and we saw a panoramic view of New York which was indescribable!!
At first I feel dizy but after a few minutes I got used and started to take many photos that I will show you. It was an amazing the feeling to get on a skyscraper, I had never been on a building with over 20floors!

The Empire State is huge, has 102 offices and 62 elevators! This skyscraper is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and West 34th Street. It has an Art Deco architecture really interesting, I liked how the building was decorated inside.

After this trip I learned more about this ancient skyscraper because of the tour guide I had which was friendly and know lots of things about this building. I learned that the Empire State was the highest tower for 41 years up to emergence of the World Trade Center, and something really interesting that I didn’t knew was that in 1945 a plane crashed into the empire state causing 14 deaths and an elevator operator called Betty Lou Oliver survived a fall of 75 stories inside an elevator, which still stands as the Guinness World Record for whom survived the longest fall in an elevator, I couldn’t believe when they told me this story...

Next day I went to breakfast and on one of the tables I found some leaflets of helicopter rides New York, this incited me a lot do I decided to go with the to the local next the sea of helicopter tour.  I found out how the promenades were fun and looked so interesting that I thought and got on the helicopter!

It was an experience I will never forget, and if I have another chance to do it I would do it again will tell you how it was:

The helicopter took off and within seconds we were at the top of the skyscrapers and the people were like ants going in all directions, we passed  so close to the buildings that seemed to us we were to collide.

First we Statue of Liberty from above, it was bigger than I thought it was amazing! The helicopter was frozen in the sky so I could take pictures, and while the tour guide was telling me the history and the origin of this famous statue

I also saw hot they the Freedom Tower (One World Trade Center), which will be the tallest skyscraper of the new World Trade Center complex, replacing the old Twin Towers.

After what I was told the skyscraper will be inaugurated in 2013 with a height of 541 meters, the third highest in the world after Burj Dubai, 828 meters
The guide told something really interesting,  that the height of the building will have a very particular symbolic feature, because its 541 meters is equivalent to 1,776 feet, a figure that happens to be the year of independence from the United States (4 of on July 1776).

When the ride ended after 1 hour and 30 minutes of flight I arrived  home tired and excited so I started looking at the pictures before going to bed, here I'll show you some ...

And if you want to have one of these tours I recommend you to look on the website: http://www.heliny.com/
